Hardeman County is in the State of Tennessee’s 25th Judicial District, which also includes Fayette, McNairy, Tipton, and Lauderdale counties. The Chancellors for this district are the Honorable William C. Cole and the Honorable Kasey Pride.
Chancery Court, which is a court of equity, has jurisdiction over such matters as divorces, boundary disputes, breaches of contract, partition suits (sales of land), adoptions, probate/estates, child support, and name changes, among others.
